LEADERSHIP
For the past 3 years I have been the creative lead working closely with the Investor Relations team involving creative strategy, copywriting needs and pitching design concepts with the guidance of John Zissimos. I also worked closely with Katrina Leach on directing design executions.
RESULTS
I’m proud of the relationships and trust that I have built with the Investor Relations team and our print vendor at RR Donnelley.
“Throughout my career at Salesforce there have been a few individuals that I identify as having a huge impact on my growth. Pam is without a doubt one of those people. After getting to know her a bit and seeing her incredible work ethic and talent, I knew I wanted to not only have a chance to work with her but also learn from her. The first real opportunity I had to do that was with the FY17 Annual Report. Getting to work under Pam as she served as the creative lead for this project was eye opening and inspiring. Obviously Pam has a lot of talent as an art director, but there was so much more to absorb. From the immense care and detail she put into presentations and pitches, to how she carried herself with leadership, stakeholders, and our vendors. Pam also gave me so much courage through this project. I’ve always had a confidence problem which has made presenting difficult for me. Pam encouraged me and helped me through multiple presentations. To this day, presenting has become so much easier for me after working with her.
Although the Annual Report project obviously came to an end, I decided that if I wanted to continue bettering myself and advance my career, it would behoove me to continue this relationship with Pam. Once the mentoring program started I very awkwardly asked her to be my mentor. At this point, I was dealing with several hurdles in my career and Pam helped see me through them. From her I learned that it’s okay to bring up issues to your manager. It’s okay to not pretend to be content with everything. She taught me to speak up for myself even if I was afraid. I know my situation is better now because of that. She gave me courage and a voice to seek change. Something I think is extremely important in a manager as well as a mentor. I can’t say enough good things about Pam and consider myself lucky to have the connection I do with her.”
